چکیده

We find some new results regarding the existence, uniqueness, boundedness, stability and attractivity of the solutions of a class of initialboundary-value problems characterized by a quasi-linear third order equation which may have non-autonomous forcing terms. The class includes equations arising in superconductor theory, quantum mechanics and in the theory of viscoelastic materials.

Stability and attractivity for a class of dissipative phenomena

We consider initial-boundary-value problems for a class of nonlinear third order equations having non-autonomous forcing terms and get new asymptotic stability results by means of the Liapunov second method. The class includes equations arising in Superconductor Theory, Quantum Mechanics and in the Theory of Viscoelastic Materials.

On Relaxation Hyperbolic Systems Violating the Shizuta–kawashima Condition

In this paper, we start a general study on relaxation hyperbolic systems which violate the Shizuta–Kawashima coupling condition ([SK]). This investigation is motivated by the fact that this condition is in general not satisfied by various physical systems, and almost all the time in several space dimensions. First, we explore the rôle of entropy functionals around equilibrium solutions, which m...

A Dissipative Integral Sliding Mode Control Redesign Method

This paper develops a new method of integral sliding mode control redesign for a class of perturbed nonlinear dissipative switched systems by modifying the dissipativity-based control law that was designed for the unperturbed systems. The nominal model is considered affine with matched and unmatched perturbations. The redesigned control law includes an integral sliding-based control signal such...

Multiple Solutions for Slip Effects on Dissipative Magneto-Nanofluid Transport Phenomena in Porous Media: Stability Analysis

In the present paper, a numerical investigation of transport phenomena is considered in electrically-conducting nanofluid flow within a porous bed utilizing Buongiorno’s transport model and Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg fourth-fifth order method. Induced flow by non-isothermal stretching/shrinking sheet along with magnetic field impact, dissipation effect, and slip conditions at the surface are...

Global Stability in Chemostat-type Equations with Distributed Delays∗

We consider a chemostat-type model in which a single species feeds on a limiting nutrient supplied at a constant rate. The model incorporates a general nutrient uptake function and two distributed (infinite) delays. The first delay models the fact that the nutrient is partially recycled after the death of the biomass by bacterial decomposition, and the second delay indicates that the growth of ...
